About the Artist
Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, and using her own hand-made clay stamps, Diane Echlin creates enchanting scenes of forest life on her stoneware ceramics. She started her formal arts education in high school and continued with workshops at the Guilford Arts Center (CT). Diane focused her professional efforts on claywork in 2013. She employs a multi-step glazing process to highlight the impressed scenes on her large format functional pieces and further embellishes her work with found items from the woods and beach, and with beads, crystals, and other items.
Diane lives in the woods of southern Vermont with her two Labbish dogs.
